Privacy Policy
How Smart Web Result collects, uses and protects personal data from this website and project inquiries, who we share it with, and how to use your rights.
This policy explains what personal data Smart Web Result ("we") collects through this website, why, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors and to anyone who sends us an inquiry. Effective October 14, 2026.
Who we are
Smart Web Result is the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about privacy through our contact form.
What we collect
- Inquiry details you choose to send: your name, work email, phone number (optional), company website, the kind of project, goals, budget range, timeline and message.
- How you found us: the page you first landed on, the referring site and any campaign tags or ad click identifiers in the link you followed (for example utm_source or gclid). These are kept in your browser's session storage and sent only if you submit a form.
- Security data: a one-way hash of your IP address, used only to stop spam and abuse of our forms.
- Usage data: only if you allow analytics, pseudonymous information about pages viewed and interactions, collected through Google Analytics.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To reply to your inquiry and prepare a proposal: steps taken at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries.
- To send occasional insights by email: only if you tick the opt-in box, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To measure and improve the website and our advertising: only with your consent through the cookie banner, or, for UK visitors, under the statistical-purposes exception where it applies, with a simple way to opt out.
- To keep the site and forms secure: our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse.
Who we share it with
We never sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it for us under contract: our website host, our email provider, our customer relationship management system, our calendar booking tool, and, if you consent, Google (Analytics and Ads), LinkedIn and Meta for measurement. If you consent to marketing cookies, Google may use hashed contact details you submit to measure ad conversions (enhanced conversions).
International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country. Where data leaves the UK, EEA or Switzerland we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses with appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become projects are deleted within 24 months of our last contact. Client records are kept for as long as the contract and tax law require. Spam-protection hashes are discarded within 24 hours.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, Swiss data protection law, Canadian law, Australian and New Zealand privacy law and US state privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising without consent, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals. To use any of these rights, contact us through our contact form. You may also complain to your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing. Budget ranges in our form help us prioritize replies; a person reads every inquiry.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above, and tell enquirers directly if the change is significant.
